Hello,
My name is Neelesh Purryag, but everyone calls me Neel. I am a 26 year old returning student from the University Of Manchester. I completed a bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering in 2014 from the aforementioned institute and arrived at Deakin this year to pursue a career in IT.
I am a strong-willed person with an ability to adapt on the fly to almost any situation. I pride myself on my ability to quickly analyse and solve complex issues. I have worked for almost three years as the Technical Manager for the biggest automobile distributor in my home country and this enhanced several of my work traits such as:
- Teamwork
- Communication
- Objectiveness
- Customer Relations
- Deadline Requirements.
I am someone who enjoys working in a team towards achieving a greater goal. I do believe in the following, “Alone you go faster, together you go further.” I would rather spend more time on finding a solution to a complex innovative task rather than crunching the same procedural work. I enjoy challenges and would rather be thrown into a tough and competitive work environment.
I am now pursuing this career in IT mainly because IT has always been my forte. As they say if you find a job you love you’ll never work a day. As of now I am looking forward to completing my degree at Deakin and whilst doing so securing an internship at a well-known company to delve into IT’s industry.
My ultimate long-term objective would be to open my own security consultancy firm after having obtained valuable experience as a security consultant myself.
